I'm not one for audio books as I've resisted them but listening to one this year is a goal of mine. Perhaps easing into with children's books is the answer to my resistance? My daughter and I loved reading The Incorrigible Children series when she was young.
We love the Cherry Jones Little House books, too. If you are feeling ambitious/have a long roadtrip at some point, Richard Armitage's reading of David Copperfield is so good. My other favorites maybe are a little young for your kids now: Stephen Fry's Paddingtons, Peter Dennis reading the Pooh books, and Charlotte's Web read by E.B. White himself.
